Tipp: ‘UnFuck Facebook’

Art Rage 2

As I painted my last draft with Adobe Photoshop, I had to try the software that was included with my graph tablet (Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium): Art Rage 2, a painting software. For a beginner like me it’s easier to get an acceptable result within a short time, than in Photoshop. There are at least (Starter version = Freeware, also for Mac) 8 tools like a brush (Pinsel), a pencil (Bleistift), a scraper (Spachtel/Schaber), a marker (Filzstift) and so on. With them it’s much easier to colourise the paintings. I really like the feature that the paint is not drying fast, so it’s like painting it manually. You can also use different layers like in Photoshop.

So I can really recommend testing the software!

(it took about 50 minutes to learn the ropes and paint this – but I didn’t want to finalise it today)

Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium Graphic Tablet

I finally decided to buy a graphic tablet for about 170 Euro (I think I will write a longer report of the tablet in a few days… or weeks). And the ‘fun tablet’ really makes fun to draw something with, even though I’m no drawer.

So the screenshot below is my first trial with the tablet and I hope not my last act and took about 20 minutes of my senseless time.

After 2 semester in Graz

The 2nd semester is over, I’ve almost finished the orientation year of studying Electrical engineering in Graz and now I’m working as a SPT9 developer for automotive electronics at Infineon in Villach…

After somebody decided to steal my mountainbike in Graz and  the city is well known for mountainbiking I bought a new one: and there are really several challenging routes. There are two smaller, but great mountains directly in Graz: Plabutsch (in the background of the 1st photo below; 400 m over Graz) and Platte (300 m over Graz) and there is also one higher mountain near Graz: the so called Schöckl (1100 m over Graz). The mountainbike/downhill-routes are more or less legal. :D

Where the hell is Klagenfurt?

Some days ago I tried to look for something in Klagenfurt on Google Maps. But if you insert ‘klagenfurt’ without ‘, Austria’ you will get to the Russian Islands of Franz-Joseph-Land (I tested it on a few computers without pre-adjustment). -> Link

Because I didn’t know that there was a second Klagenfurt on this planet I had to google a little bit: One of the discoverer (Max Freiherr von Sterneck) of Franz-Joseph-Land was born in Klagenfurt. Moreover Franz-Joseph-Land  is named after the Austrian imperator Franz Joseph 1st.

But I’m still laughing that there is no recommendation for the Austrian Klagenfurt on Google Maps.
