Mountaineering (Bärental, Karawanken)

To benefit from the clear and warm weather I decided to climb up two mountains with a friend on Sunday :

Starting point was the so called Stouhütte (960 m). After walking about 1,5 h we arrived at Klagenfurter Hütte (1.664 m) and it took about another hour to climb up the Bielschitza (cliff, 1.958 m). After a little break back at the Klagenfurter Hütte we also climbed up Kosiak (grassland, 2.024 m) and finally we descented back to Stouhütte.

The perspective was great: we could see Villach, Klagenfurt, Triglav, Großglockner,…

World Wide Photowalk

On Saturday was a world wide photowalk organized by Scott Kelby. According to his blog, there were 32.000+ participants registered, in Klagenfurt there were 29 I think (thanks to mgratzer for organizing this).

Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium Graphic Tablet

I finally decided to buy a graphic tablet for about 170 Euro (I think I will write a longer report of the tablet in a few days… or weeks). And the ‘fun tablet’ really makes fun to draw something with, even though I’m no drawer.

So the screenshot below is my first trial with the tablet and I hope not my last act and took about 20 minutes of my senseless time.

Hard working ants

While man can enjoy their weekends, or maltreat their bodies at the ironman in Klagenfurt, ants have to work the whole week. Such poor little things…

After 2 semester in Graz

The 2nd semester is over, I’ve almost finished the orientation year of studying Electrical engineering in Graz and now I’m working as a SPT9 developer for automotive electronics at Infineon in Villach…

After somebody decided to steal my mountainbike in Graz and  the city is well known for mountainbiking I bought a new one: and there are really several challenging routes. There are two smaller, but great mountains directly in Graz: Plabutsch (in the background of the 1st photo below; 400 m over Graz) and Platte (300 m over Graz) and there is also one higher mountain near Graz: the so called Schöckl (1100 m over Graz). The mountainbike/downhill-routes are more or less legal. :D
